Pokémon: We Choose U!

For our next cafe theme, we went with a childhood favourite and ever popular title Pokémon. As it was the new academic year in SMU, it was fitting to start our freshies off picking their starter drinks – Bulba-Matcha, Charmandarin or Squirt-le-mon (S$4.90) and getting equipped with either a Poké Bowl (S$9.90) or Poké Sandwich (from S$6.90). You can also play with one of our eeveelutions on your table while waiting for your food. We love Eevee because this Pokémon represents the potential to be anything you want to be.

We also organised a Pokémon Party with the GEEKS, bringing together walking Pokédexes. The top three contestants who won the Who’s That Pokémon challenge were able to successfully identify all 90 Pokémon from Generation 1 to 9! Not an easy feat at all.

We were also secretly keeping count of the popularity of the 3 starter drinks and Squirt-le-mon won the challenge by a mile. As a reward, this drink will remain permanently on our menu so anyone can get rejuvenated by its zesty fizz anytime of the day. Our Poké Bowl was also very well received so we decided to keep it on our menu too!
